The open drum cable reel has a heavy duty plastic drum on a sturdy steel frame with carry handle and a thermal overload protection system to prevent overheating damaging the cable. They are fitted with twin 240V sockets and the 1.25mm² cable is with fitted with a standard 240V plug. Always check that the power supply matches the voltage on the reel’s rating plate. Never attempt to connect a 240V appliance to a 110V supply and vice versa.

When using a 240V cable reel outdoors, or in the vicinity of a machine with mechanism which could damage the cable, it is recommended that an RCD device (FPP RCD) is used at the power source in conjunction with the reel. NOTE: All cable reels should be fully unwound before they are used to carry their recommended maximum load.

Click & Collect is also available from selected branches. However, please be aware that stock levels can fluctuate, so we’ll confirm product availability and collection timing once your order is placed.

Delivery Charges

Orders over £150 ex VAT within our local delivery area qualify for free delivery. This excludes palletised or specialist products.

For orders under £150 ex VAT, standard delivery is £7.50 plus VAT. Certain products have specific delivery costs:

  • Civil Engineering products: £20 + VAT.
  • Roofing Tiles under £249.99 ex VAT: £60 + VAT.

Delivery charges and policies may vary at the discretion of our branches, and we reserve the right to amend them as required.

We offer a variety of delivery options to meet your needs nationwide, including pallet shipping (subject to size and weight restrictions), site delivery, and same-day or next-day delivery via TradeKart (available in selected postcodes).
