• A long radius bend provides a smoother flow than the short radius, but it requires more space

• Commonly used in piping systems to change the flow direction, reduce friction and pressure drops, and to improve the flow characteristics of the fluid transported

• Plain end means that both ends are chambered to accept a 110mm ring seal socket

• Less likely to cause a blockage than a short radius bend

• Brett Martin drainage system features a lip seal within 110mm & 160mm single socket pipe and a market leading captive seal within 110mm fittings which secures against dislodgement and makes jointing easier

More Information
Brett Martin B5031 110mm Plain End Long Radius 87.5 Degree Bend is used to give a longer, more sweeping curve when changing direction in a drainage system. It can be used where smaller knuckle bends could result in blockages. The plain end means that both ends are chambered. It is used to change the flow direction in a piping system. Most people refer to these bends as 90 degrees. The reason that they are actually 87.5 is to create a natural fall to ensure that materials flowing through the bend keep on moving. Underground (Terracotta) pipework is purpose built for the transportation of foul water and sewage in domestic and commercial properties to a sewage treatment system, septic tank or in the case of rainwater and treated effluent, to a soak away or watercourse.
