Our History

Background

Central to the Lords strategy of focusing on its 3 P’s is the companies premises. Our branches along with our people and our plant are one of the main reasons for our success and existence.

We fundamentally believe in ensuring we have the very best premises and where this may not be possible at the onset, we will in due course invest to make our premises the best they can be.

Every one of our locations are loved as much as the other. Each branch has an interesting history and time line behind it. The short summary in this booklet aims to help you understand how central our premises is to the story of “The Lords Way”.

As some of you may not know much about the business, we hope by recounting the history of our branches that you will get a chance to experience our

journey to date and be part of the next chapter in our evolution.

What makes us different?

Lords represents a family business established for over 30 years. Our businesses comprise of builders’ merchants, an architectural ironmongery manufacturer and retail shops. We are known for our professionalism, innovation and continuous investment since 1984.

We pride ourselves on the fact that the company has grown from 40+ colleagues in 2008, to over 280+ whilst always maintaining a family business culture. We are a family business, owned and run by the same team.
